Thanks for your thoughts Chris, lots there to think about. I’ve looked at the calculator for these properties and paying part rent part mortgage, I would be paying a lot lot less than in the private rental sector and have something to show for it at the end of the mortgage (I am looking at two bed flats to be able to rent out the spare room). Do you think now is a bad time to buy then?
